Tarik Qahawish is the Director of Digital Marketing and Communication at Aeroplan, Canada’s premier coalition loyalty program, owned by Aimia, a global leader in loyalty management. Tarik is in charge of the overall digital strategy and new digital channel development & optimization. He has over 15 years of experience in the online field starting with one of the first eCommerce sites in the food industry back in 1997. Tarik joined a search and text mining startup in 2000 that targeted Telcos, Hosting companies & Database firms which was later acquired by Dow Jones in 2008. Over the past 6 years at Aeroplan, Tarik launched several online ancillary revenue products including an online affiliate shopping mall and since 2010 he has been primarily focused on defining and setting up the digital strategy and building up the internal digital communication capabilities.
