Rick Weber is a lawyer turned entrepreneur turned business advisor and consultant. Rick began his career at the law firm, Mayer Brown, as a litigator in Chicago. Rick later left to become a federal prosecutor for the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission. In 2000, Rick left the traditional practice of law and founded a litigation software development company, Advocate Solutions. Advocate Solutions developed litigation software that helped pioneer the electronic discovery industry – now a multi-billion dollar per year industry. Rick led the company to an acquisition in 2003. Rick later provided turn around management for a technology company and helped them go from a position of debt to profitability to an acquisition all within a few years. Today, Rick serves as a business consultant, adviser, and angel to several different companies.
