More information about Perry Evans

Perry Evans combines a dozen years in corporate management in the Canadian telecom industry, with more than 20 years in new media start-ups. Since the early days of the Internet, Mr. Evans has led the formation and development of MapQuest, Jabber, Local Matters and Closely. A common thread of location-based technologies and products that disrupt and re-align industry structures runs through these businesses. Mr. Evans is a Board Member of the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship at Colorado University in Boulder, and is a past recipient of the Ernst and Young Software Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Residing in Colorado since 1989, Mr. Evans has strong ties to Silicon Valley, and maintains a personal and growing professional affiliation with the Canadian start-up community, including the C100 organization.
