Matt Golden is a long time mobile entrepreneur and investor and is the Managing Director of Golden Venture Partners, a mobile focused seed and early stage venture capital fund based in Toronto, Canada. Golden Venture Partners has invested in a number of companies focused on breakthrough innovations in the mobile and smartphone ecosystem including Toronto based Wattpad, Guardly, Top Hat Monocle and Boston based, Yesware.
Prior to his current role, Matt was an advisor to Five Mobile (acquired by Zynga) and was a partner with the BlackBerry Partners Fund where he was responsible for investments in SocialDeck (Acquired by Google), Transpera (acquired by Tremor Media) and Nexage, a leading mobile advertising mediation platform.
In 2001, Matt co-founded Tira Wireless, which became a recognized industry leader in the first wave of mobile content and prior to that Matt held the position of Director of New Ventures at Brightspark and was an associate with the law firm of Oslers.
