I’m Mark MacLeod, a serial startup CFO and operator, turned investor. From 1999 – 2011, I led finance for some of Canada’s greatest venture-backed startups. Currently, I am a Partner in Real Ventures, a seed fund investing in the converging Web, Mobile, Media and Gaming sectors where I focus on SaaS and e-commerce. I was CFO at Tungle up until RIM bought it and was also CFO for Shopify and a number of kick ass startups. I’m a proud Canadian and Scotsman (moved to Canada when I was a wee laddie). I love my family, entrepreneurs, DJing, house music, Formula 1, Manhattans (the cocktail and the city), single malt whisky, reading and tennis – more or less in that order.
