David co-founded internet dating site Lavalife in 1986 in Toronto -arguably the worlds first iteration of the modern day social network. Upon exiting Lavalife in 2004, he co-founded Darwin Dimensions in Montréal a CG developer of the web-based EVOLVER avatar generator for direct consumers, gaming and feature film industries .He currently serves as the senior Director of Machkor Holdings Ltd., a seed and early-stage venture capital fund headquartered in Montréal, Canada with investors that include Dominique Bélanger and others. Machkor is focused on investing in emerging, consumer based technology startups in Québec and abroad. He currently sits on the Board of Montreal based Darwin Dimensions and casual game developer Gamerizon -the developer of the popular App based Chop-Chop gaming franchise found on Apple’s AppStore. David also sits on the Advisory Board of Real Ventures, and is in the throes of raising a young family of two children wi th wife Marie-Hélène. He is based in Montréal.
